Milk & Beans Coffee House

SUNSHINE COAST, AUS

Milk and Beans, a charming coffee shop nestled right next to the beach, faced the challenge of standing out in a growing neighborhood with several newly opened competitors boasting strong social media presences. With its unbeatable location, cozy ambiance, and delicious menu offerings, Milk and Beans had everything it needed to thrive—but they were struggling to effectively communicate their strengths to their target audience.

Content Creation

Content Creation & Shoot Days

One of the key components of the social media strategy for Milk and Beans was creating high-quality, engaging content that showcased the coffee shop’s offerings and vibrant atmosphere. To do this, I organised and led regular shoot days where I captured everything from new menu items to behind-the-scenes moments that highlighted the daily life of the shop.

On shoot days, I worked closely with the team to ensure we captured the essence of the brand—everything from the vibrant colors of their freshly made smoothies and milkshakes to the warm, inviting feel of their breakfast options. Whether it was a close-up shot of a perfectly crafted cappuccino or a wide shot of customers enjoying their meals with the beach in the background, each image was designed to evoke the atmosphere of relaxation and indulgence that Milk and Beans is known for.

These carefully curated photos and videos were then used across their social media platforms, helping to engage with both new and returning customers, showcase their food in its best light, and ultimately create a stronger visual identity for the brand.

Social Media Management

I managed Milk and Beans' social media strategy to ensure their online presence was consistent and aligned with their business objectives. This included crafting engaging posts, developing a content calendar, and managing audience interactions to foster strong customer relationships.

I balanced promotional content with community-driven posts, highlighting the shop's signature offerings, daily specials, and beachside atmosphere. By staying on top of social media trends and incorporating seasonal content, I kept their brand relevant and engaging.

To extend their reach, I organised influencer collaborations, offering complimentary meals and drinks in exchange for social media exposure. These partnerships successfully broadened their visibility, attracting both locals and beachgoers.

I also maintained active engagement with followers, responding promptly to comments and messages, which helped nurture a loyal and interactive online community. Through strategic campaigns, influencer collaborations, and consistent content updates, I enhanced Milk and Beans' visibility and connection with its audience.

Feed Design

AFTER

The redesigned feed has a much more polished and professional look, with a warm, cohesive colour scheme and high-quality photography. Theres a stronger focus on natural lighting, organic café moments, and engaging content that highlights the food, drinks, and ambiance. I have also introduced video content, adding dynamic elements that showcase behind-the-scenes moments, food preparation, and customer experiences. The reduction in text-heavy graphics allows for a more premium, storytelling-driven approach, making the café feel inviting and authentic while maintaining a strong brand identity.

BEFORE

The original feed had an inconsistent design, relying heavily on text overlays, mixed fonts, and promotional banners that made it look cluttered. The excessive use of recruitment posts and event announcements took attention away from the café’s food and atmosphere. Many images were repeated multiple times, and the overall aesthetic felt disjointed, lacking a cohesive visual identity. There was also little to no video content, limiting engagement and variety in the feed.

Client Marketing Hub

I provide each of my clients with a link to their own marketing hub when they have access to content plans, analytics reports, branding information etc. Below is a Quick Look at what this looks like for a client.
